We are pleased to announce that Sportsdietitian is dedicated to delivering an unparalleled caliber of service. To prepare you for your upcoming consultation, we kindly request your attention to the following essential details:

Initial Consultation

Your initial appointment will span between 1 and 1.5 hours. During this time, either Dietitian Hanlie Jordaan or Kira van Niekerk will conduct a thorough evaluation encompassing medical history, biochemical factors, genetic predispositions, nutritional status, exercise habits, and anthropometric measurements to assess your body composition.

Discussion and Planning

Subsequent to your evaluation, the attending dietitian will engage in a discussion with you to interpret your results and outline your forward nutritional strategy. Utilizing this comprehensive data, a bespoke meal plan tailored to meet your specific needs will be formulated.

Post-Consultation Process

The individualized meal plan, along with any supplementary information deemed pertinent, will be conveyed to you via email within a span of seven working days post your initial consultation (we request payment upfront before we will send you the meal plan). Upon receipt, kindly allocate a day or two for planning and any inquiries you may wish to forward to us.

We offer complimentary email, WhatsApp, and phone support for up to 2 weeks following your consultation. After this period, a follow-up fee will apply for any further communication, including blood test reviews, without a scheduled follow-up consultation.

A follow-up appointment is recommended after 14 days of adhering to the newly developed meal plan to ensure it is working as it should.

Required Documentation for Your Appointment

  1. Completed Patient Information Form, accessible online HERE.
  2. A comprehensive list of your current medication, supplements, vitamins, and herbal medicines to assess potential contraindications, as in the online form.
  3. Details or copies of any diet plans you have followed in the past two years to better assess your current health status (this information can be emailed in advance).
  4. Medical and familial disease history, specifically from your maternal lineage, as well as from your siblings. This is imperative for a nuanced genetic assessment and to understand potential disease progression, as in the online form.
